
Dr. Víctor Martín-Gorgojo

Spine Surgery, Traumatology, and Orthopedics
Specialist in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, exclusively dedicated to pediatric and adult spine surgery, with an extensive international background.
A Medical graduate from the University of Valencia, he completed his residency at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia, where he was awarded the “Best Resident” prize of his class. His passion for spine surgery led him to Sydney (Australia), where he completed a 13-month clinical fellowship accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons at Macquarie University Hospital, under the supervision of Dr. Hsu, Dr. Singh, and Dr. Kulkarni. Furthermore, he was awarded an AO Spine international fellowship at the prestigious GSpine4 group of the IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi–Sant’Ambrogio (Milan), training alongside Prof. Berjano and Prof. Lamartina, world-renowned leaders in spinal deformity surgery.
He is currently a member of the Pediatric Spine Surgery Unit at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu (Barcelona), led by Dr. Peiró, where he focuses his practice on the comprehensive management of pediatric spinal pathologies.
In the field of research, he defended his doctoral thesis on the study of osteoporotic vertebral fractures, earning the grade of excellent cum laude. His professional career includes participation in clinical trials, publications in international journals, and presentations at national and international conferences, reflecting his commitment to improving clinical outcomes for his patients.
He is an active member of GEER (Spanish Spine Society), SECOT (Spanish Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology), and AO Spine, the leading global community for spine surgeons. Additionally, he is a founding member of the AO Spine Youth Club (international) and GEER-Joven (national), initiatives focused on promoting the development, training, and leadership of the next generation of spine specialists.
